Hi Brian, I am looking into this vehicle. I live in Prince George so 90 percent of the time the drive will be from home to work which is less than 10km one way. On the weekends I will just putter around town so again less than 10km. I will probably stretch its legs in the summer with a couple of long road trips. So, I read that short tripping diesel engines is a bad thing. Is that true with the new generation diesels? Am I asking for trouble in the long run buying a diesel or the gas? I really like the extra mileage that the diesel provides but will this advantage be lost in extra maintenance? Do you fell that the passing power is sufficient in the diesel? What do you advise? Absolutely correct about the steering. Mazda has this backwards, heavy & slow at parking lot speeds, light at highways speeds.

The relatively new plant in AL that builds the Mazda CX-50 & the Corolla Cross for Toyota needs to get their act together. Lots of inconsistent build quality from what I have read, so roll the dice & inspect carefully before buying.

Is that a 2023? Because Mazda adjusted the steering weight for the 2024. I test drove the 2024 a week ago and the steering felt good. I’m used to light steering owning an Audi Q5, and the Mazda doesn’t feel extra heavy. The seats felt good also. My opinion anyway.

When the CX-50 first came out, I was so excited. It was the first Mazda to have rear doors open 90°, first to have hood struts, first to have Panoramic Moonroof (standard in Canada), first Mazda vehicle to be produced at MTMUS, first to have GPS directions from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to be projected to Active Driving Display (HUD).

The panoramic sunroof is the worst in the industry. The opening is literally only 50% of the cut out. It also opens out when there's more than enough space to slide over the fixed glass. Car is nice to drive but the seats are a bit too firm. Good power though for a non sporty SUV. Too bad they were hard to get when I was shopping for one last year.

No Mazda is worth what they asking now. Premium is not just a price, it must be significant change, not just leather and a higher price.

Too bad about infotainment and seats. I get a RAV-4 instead.

The infotainment system is a deal breaker for me in all Mazda vehicles.

I like Bluetti, and this seems like a high quality product. I have no doubt the battery will last as long as they say. The concern with any 12v fridge is the compressor. For that reason, I'd prefer to keep my power source and fridge separate. The ice maker is very nice. But for the reasons you state (sharing the compressor with the fridge) I'd prefer a separate ice maker. Does Bluetti say who makes the compressor for this?

I think the BMW X5 50e is the best PHEV for 2024 - not the GLE 450e. Yes, BMW's gets 10 miles less electric only range at 40 miles, but the BMW gas engine is bigger when your battery is empty ... and the BMW performance in electric, hybrid and sport are all vastly superior comparatively. The GLE 450e is just too slow.

Exactly what we are doing... we have the Ioniq 5 2024 ultimate, and we are selling our rav4 and getting this one as a 2ndary car .. yeah, a rear wiper...woooow, Hyundai, you mastered this obscure technology, congrats! We are a family of 3 so yeah this car will be good. Maybe it is better to have the volume/cruse buttons inverted here..but for someone with an ioniq 5 it would have been easier to have them laid out the same. Ty for this video.

Who in their right mind would buy a Hyundai EV ? Hyundai doesn't sell replacement batteries as EV cars end up being scrapped with such astranomica! repair costs once batteries are dented.

I have 2024 sport touring hatch 6MT in sonic gray and is a wonderful car. Traded in a 2019 Civic EX sedan CVT which was also a great car. No issues at all.
